Abstract/Description: | Superconducting strip developed by Norton Company for use in Argonne National Laboratory chamber is shown being inspected by Dr. James Wong at the company's Supercon Division in Natick, Mass. More than 50 tons, comprising some 25 miles, of the niobium titanium strip was used in the world's largest superconducting magnet where it performed above and beyond specifications. |
