Portrait of Eric Rice

E. E. Rice, Associate Manager in the Space Systems and Applications Section, Battelle's Columbus Laboratories, has served as a program manager and principal investigator for studies including nuclear waste disposal in space, Skylab reentry hazards, and various environmental, safety, and energy impact assessments for NASA's launch vehicles. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin in Chemistry, and a Ph.D. degree from the Ohio State University in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Prior to joining Battelle in 1972, Dr. Rice was involved in combustion research for advances propulsion concepts at the Ohio State University Aeronautical and Astronautical Research Laboratory.
