Abstract/Description: | Mrs. Uhlenbeck's note - G. P. Nijhoff (called Pim.) was one of the two sons of the publisher Martinus Nijhoff in The Hague. He was a student in experimental physics in Uhlenbeck's time, and after his PhD went to Java to work at the Botanical Gardens lab. He died young (early 1930's). He was the younger brother of a very well known Dutch poet, Martinus Nijhoff (Pom). |
