Abstract/Description:	During their visit to UIUC, Chinese physicists met with departmental staff and faculty. At one meeting, there was (L-R) Edwin Goldwasser, vice-chancellor for academic affairs and professor of physics; Department Head R. O. Simmons; Associate Head Manfred Raether; Chen Jin-Yuan, division head of the National Science and Technology Commission; Chen Yong-bin of the Electronics Engineering Department of the Nanjing Institute of Technology; Holly Downen, escort and program officer from the Institute of International Education; and Professor Zhang Ke-qian, chairman of the Radio Engineering Department of Quinghau University. Not pictured was Associate Professor Shen bo-yun, Fudan University Department of Physics.
