In-Vessel Handling Machines lowered into the reactor vessel head of the Fast Flux Test Facility

One of three In-Vessel Handling Machines was lowered by a 200-ton capacity Polar Gantry Crane into the reactor vessel head of the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF).  The complex refueling component is 35 feet high and 8 feet in diameter.
